Overview
Come join The Select in Sandy Springs as a Host and Server Assistant. We have separate Host and Server Assistant positions available, but we’d really like to hire a committed person who can do either role depending on the scheduling needs. Ultimately we’re just looking for someone with the right vibe and energy to fit our culture and provide a great experience for our guests! Host position can earn between $16-$20/hour depending on skills/experience, and the Server Assistant Position pays $7.25/hour plus tips (typically averaging over $20/hour). Part-time, and potentially full-time available.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing friendly and efficient check-in assistance
- Manage reservations and waitlists with clear communication and organization
- Assist servers by delivering food and beverages promptly and accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of host stand, waiting areas, and dining spaces
- Support guest relations by answering questions, addressing concerns, and ensuring satisfaction
- Operate OpenTable Reservation system
- Operate POS system for order processing of To-Go Orders
- Basic understanding of menu
- Uphold excellent phone etiquette when handling reservations or inquiries via phone or online platforms
- Maintain a clean and sophisticated appearance as either the first and last person to greet our guests or handle food
Experience
- Previous host/hostess experience or food service background preferred but not required
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with guests and team members
- Experience working with OpenTable or Resy, and POS systems like Toast POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, guest services, and hospitality standards beneficial
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
- Previous hotel or guest services experience is advantageous but not mandatory
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and proactive attitude!
