Job Description

Title: Cook/Kitchen Assistant

Classification: Hourly/Non-Exempt

Reporting Supervisor: Kitchen Manager, Executive Chef

Hours: Full-time, approximately 40-45 hours per week. Occasional overtime is required.

Shift: 6:00am – 3:00pm, Monday – Friday

We are looking for an experienced Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate for this position will have a passion for food preparation and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating delicious vegetarian dishes, following recipes, and adhering to health and safety standards. We are looking for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and has excellent customer service skills.

The Cook will be responsible for preparing meals for Four Schools: Watkinsville, Decatur, Kirkwood, and East Atlanta.

ESSENTIAL CHARACTERISTICS:
Dependable, hard worker, high-integrity, with a team-focused positive attitude and attention to detail.

EDUCATION, LICENSING, & QUALIFICATIONS:

• At least 3 years of professional cooking experience
• Culinary degree preferred but not required
• Experience working in a high-volume setting is preferred
• Food/nutrition experience
• ServSafe certification required (or willing to obtain certification)
• Valid driver’s license
