POSITION SUMMARY:
The Steward properly clean, store and maintain all washable items within a sanitary and safe working environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Operates dishwashing equipment to ensure adequate supplies of clean and sanitary tableware at all times.
- Maintains personal hygiene and sanitation standards as established by Health Department.
- Follows proper food storage, handling and preparation standards.
- Adheres to established Ecosure standards.
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment through regular floor maintenance, trash removal, proper storage of equipment and cleaning of Dish area prior to the end of each shift.
- Handles and uses chemicals needed to clean and sanitize tableware in a safe manner.
- Complete all training requirements.
- ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma/GED preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY
- Experience in and passion for consumer service
- Willingness to learn new skills and be a team player
- An attitude of flexibility and mindfulness about the team approach
- Clean and clear service areas
- Follow proper procedures as disclosed in Standard Operating Procedures as explained to staff
