POSITION: PART-TIME AFTER SCHOOL CARE STAFF MEMBER (OTS+) – 2 openings
START DATE: IMMEDIATE HIRE
REPORTS TO: AUXILIARY PROGRAM MANAGER
CLASSIFICATION: PART-TIME; 3PM-6PM ON DAYS WHEN SCHOOL IS IN SESSION
COMPENSATION: HOURLY
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Old Trail School seeks two passionate and collaborative individuals to support our students in the after-school program. The individuals should be able to support students in any of the following age groups: Preschool – K, Grades 1-4, and Grades 5-8. It is the expectation that the candidate will ensure the safety and well-being of each child by responding to their physical, social-emotional, and educational needs in alignment with the school’s philosophies. We are seeking a candidate with the qualifications listed below to be able to provide a nurturing and safe environment for our students to spend their after-school time. Responsibilities include supervision of students after school during indoor or outdoor free play, arts-n-crafts, games, activities, and homework help. The candidate will be expected to be a role model for the School’s core values: Respect, Responsibility, Goodness, and Service.
Applicants should have at least 1-2 years of experience working with children (teaching, childcare, camps, outdoor centers, etc.) and an interest in education. Most importantly, applicants should have a love of working with children, in a collaborative, upbeat, and positive environment.
