About The Job
- Collect, verify, and process all payroll-related data, including timesheets, attendance records, bonuses, and commissions.
- Input payroll data into the company’s payroll system accurately and efficiently.
- Calculate net salaries, taxes, and statutory and voluntary deductions (e.g., social security, retirement funds, insurance, etc.).
- Ensure all payroll operations comply with federal, state, and local labor laws and tax regulations.
- Prepare and submit all required payroll-related reports to government agencies on time.
- Assist in internal and external payroll audits.
- Maintain and update employee records, ensuring confidentiality and data integrity.
- Address and resolve employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and tax matters.
- Provide clear and detailed explanations of pay slip components.
- Liaise with the HR department to ensure new hires, terminations, and changes in employee status are reflected accurately in the payroll system.
- Reconcile payroll data with general ledger accounts.
- Prepare and process electronic salary transfers and cheque payments.
- Manage and clear salary advances and other employee settlements.
