· Greeting customers in a friendly manner and taking food and drink orders

· Preparing and serving beverages, ranging from simple to elaborate ones

· Preparing and serving food items such as soups, sandwiches and pastries

· Promoting and recommending menu options to customers; Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all the menu offerings

· Maintaining inventory and equipment by cleaning, troubleshooting and scheduling repairs

· Keeping the work environment sanitary and organized

· Evaluating and modifying processes to improve efficiency and quality of service

· Working to attract new customers and expanding the menu

· Prepare and serve coffee and tea drinks that meet quality standards

· Respond to orders, questions, concerns, and complaints in a polite and efficient manner

· Accurately handle cash and credit card payments, following appropriate cash-handling procedures

· Observe relevant health and safety standards

· Listen well and communicate in a professional and friendly manner

· Focus on customer satisfaction

· Be efficient and organized

· Build good relationships with customers

· Keep supplies replenished to minimize downtime

REQUIREMENTS

· Previous work experience as a Barista

· Hands-on experience with brewing equipment

· Knowledge of sanitation regulations

· Flexibility to work various shifts

· Basic math skills

· Ability to gauge customers’ preferences

· Excellent communication skills
