Description
Incumbents conduct cash transactions, receiving checks and monies and making change, and are responsible to balance a cash drawer. Incumbents are also responsible for customer service by providing information, answering the telephone, and performing related activities.

- Provides customer service to walk-in customers and over the telephone; receives payments; makes change; directs customers and/or callers to appropriate internal individuals; answers routine questions and provides customers with requested forms, information, and/or paperwork
- Posts revenues to appropriate general ledger accounts utilizing an automated financial accounting system
- Receives, reviews, routes processes, prepares and issues various licenses and permits
- Counts, handles, dispenses currency, balances and reconciles multiple cash drawers
- Maintains a variety of files and information related to department operations
- Maintains regular attendance and punctuality
- Performs other duties of a similar nature or level
