Mission Contribution: Providing access to fresh food, produce, and meat at reasonable prices with an emphasis on providing opportunity to the community in which the Market serves.

Summary: Responsible for making sure that customers have access to the merchandise by organizing product displays and shelves. To ensure consistent and world-class customer experiences through the superior show of quality and friendly customer service.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist customers with any questions or concerns and have good communication.
  • Count inventory, add price tags to items, and putting product on shelves according to an organized system given by management.
  • To maintain knowledge of products sold throughout the department and suggest new items to customers.
  • To ensure freshness and quality of product, review the “sell by” dates and take appropriate action if product is past due date.
  • Report any product/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
  • Ability to work under pressure during peak store operations.
  • Maintain an accurate log sheet of daily moves, scanning, inventory, and counting product accurately.
  • Work well with all team members to grow the community and maintain a clean work area.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
  • Participates in required trainings.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Solid understanding of store operations required.
  • Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Must have open availability and able to work all hours of operation.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, stand for periods of time.
