Full job description

Under the direction of the Facility Supervisor and Aquatics Manager, this position is responsible to perform tasks that supports the day-to-day operations at the Asotin County Family Aquatic Center’s main entrance and concessions area. Primary duties include the use of recreation software for admission fees or membership fees in cash or electronic payments, as well as collecting payments for transactions at our concessions area. Other duties include food prep, while meeting Washington State food handler’s requirements, sale of retail merchandise, cleaning, as well as assisting other facility staff personnel with overall operations of the facility as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 16 years old.
  • Prior cash handling experiences are desirable, not mandatory.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English.
  • Knowledge of basic math skills is required.

Job Duties:

  • Use of recreation software to collect fees, schedule events and collect monies for daytoday transactions.
  • Balance a cash till daily.
  • Demonstrate strong customer service skills including proper phone etiquette and answering inquiries about our operations all while exhibiting a polished image as the face of the facility.
  • Valid Washington State Food Handler’s Card required (training included upon hiring).
  • CPR/First Aid training required (training included upon hiring).
  • Assist with enforcing facility rules and regulations.
  • Attend inservice training sessions.
  • Other duties as necessary.

The PFD owns and operates the Asotin County Family Aquatic Center, the areas only year-round recreational facility. Comprised of 3 indoor and 4 outdoor pools, fitness facility, and classroom / meeting space, the Aquatic Center serves over 100,000 visitors annually.
