Duties

• Operate laundry equipment such as washers, dryers, and pressing machines efficiently and safely.
• Sort, load, and unload laundry items with care to prevent damage or loss.
• Use appropriate cleaning agents and chemicals for different types of fabrics, including delicate items requiring dry cleaning.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area to ensure a safe working environment.
• Inspect linens and textiles for stains, tears, or other damage; report issues promptly.
• Follow established procedures for handling special items like uniforms or guest laundry requests.
• Assist with inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management when stock levels are low.

Experience

• Prior experience in laundry services, hotel housekeeping, or a similar environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of laundry techniques including washing, drying, folding, and pressing textiles.
• Familiarity with dry cleaning processes is a plus.
• Ability to operate commercial laundry machinery safely and effectively.
• Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on cleanliness and quality control.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple loads efficiently during busy periods.
