Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to join our amazing team. As a caregiver at BeeHive Homes, you will assist elderly residents with activities of daily living, monitor their health and well-being, and ensure a safe, comfortable environment. Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
  • Observe for any changes in health or behavior, reporting concerns to house manager.
  • Assist with medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning, laundry, and organization of living spaces
  • Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices to safely transfer residents with mobility challenges
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being, especially for individuals with dementia or memory care needs

Skills

  • Proven experience in home health, assisted living, nursing home care, or working with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities
  • Knowledge of first aid, CPR, and emergency response procedures to handle urgent situations confidently
  • Familiarity with service plans, medication administration, patient monitoring, and vital signs measurement
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate assistive devices like Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs
  • Strong observational skills for patient safety and behavior changes; attentive to Alzheimer’s care and dementia-related needs
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with healthcare teams, patients, families, and social workers
  • Commitment to maintaining HIPAA compliance and respecting patient privacy at all times
