Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival, creating a welcoming atmosphere that encourages guest satisfaction and loyalty
  • Manage guest seating arrangements efficiently, balancing wait times and table availability to optimize flow
  • Handle all cashier duties accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, including processing orders and payments
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries, special requests, and resolving concerns promptly
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and cashier area to uphold high standards of hygiene and professionalism
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to coordinate seating and service flow
  • Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when taking reservations or answering guest questions over the phone

Experience

  • Previous host/hostess experience in a fast-paced restaurant or food service environment preferred
  • Strong background in customer service, with excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor
  • Experience working with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of restaurant operations, including guest relations, serving, and hospitality best practices
  • Hotel or guest services experience is a plus, demonstrating ability to handle diverse guest needs with professionalism
  • Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a lively setting
  • Familiarity with food service protocols, phone etiquette, and guest interaction standards
