Victor’ Restaurant & Bar is a black owned restaurant located two miles from the Bishop Arts District. Playing a mix of hip hop, jazz, & r&b music while you dine.

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team in providing exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and efficient seating arrangements. This role requires excellent communication skills and a passion for customer service within the restaurant and hospitality industry.

Must be available to work Fri 5-10pm AND weekends betweeen 11:00am-10pm

Duties

• Greet guests upon arrival with a warm and friendly demeanor.
• Manage the seating chart to optimize table turnover while ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Answer phone calls promptly, providing accurate information regarding reservations and wait times.
• Utilize Aloha POS system for managing reservations and guest check-ins effectively.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area.
• Communicate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during busy periods.
• Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly, fostering positive guest relations.
• Support the overall dining experience by providing menus and informing guests about daily specials.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred.
• Strong phone etiquette skills to handle reservations and inquiries professionally.
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
• Familiarity with food service operations is a plus.
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
