Store Assistant – European Bakery

Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable and organized Store Assistant to support daily store operations in our European bakery facility. The ideal candidate will assist with receiving, issuing, and maintaining inventory while ensuring compliance with hygiene and food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in receiving raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods
• Verify quantities and condition of items against delivery documents
• Support issuing materials to production based on approved requisitions
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store area
• Assist with regular stock counts and inventory checks
• Report shortages, damages, or discrepancies to the Store Keeper
• Support loading and unloading of materials when required
• Maintain basic store records and documentation
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and company policies

Requirements

• Minimum high school education
• Previous experience as a Store Assistant or Warehouse Assistant preferred
• Basic knowledge of inventory handling and FIFO/FEFO
• Ability to perform physical work and lift materials
• Basic understanding of hygiene and safety standards
• Team player with good communication skills

Preferred Skills

• Experience in food manufacturing or bakery industry
• Basic computer or ERP knowledge (advantage)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
