Full job description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to join our logistics company in Dubai. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in day-to-day accounting activities and basic knowledge of UAE accounting practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate books of accounts and financial records
- Handle accounts payable and receivable
- Prepare invoices, credit notes, and debit notes
- Record daily transactions, expenses, and bank entries
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
- Assist in monthly and yearly financial closing
- Support VAT calculations, filings, and documentation as per UAE regulations
- Maintain proper documentation for audits and compliance
- Coordinate with operations and admin teams for billing and expense tracking
Requirements
- 1–2 years of accounting experience, preferably in logistics or a related industry
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Basic knowledge of UAE VAT and accounting standards
- Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho, or similar)
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
