Front Desk Agent

Full job description

FMC Health is seeking a Front Desk Agent (FDA) to join our team. FDAs are responsible for providing excellent customer service and managing the flow of patients in our clinic. This may include tasks such as scheduling appointments, checking patients in and out, answering phones, and managing patient information. FDAs are also responsible for maintaining a clean and organized waiting area, handling billing and insurance paperwork, and assisting with general office tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Scheduling appointments and managing patient flow
  • Checking patients in and out
  • Answering phones and routing calls
  • Managing patient information in electronic medical records (EMR) system
  • Handling billing and insurance paperwork
  • Maintaining a clean and organized waiting area
  • Assisting with general office tasks

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and basic anatomy
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and multitask effectively
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods and perform other duties as required
