JOB TITLE: Food Pantry Assistant

REPORTS TO: Office Manager

JOB TYPE: Part-time

SALARY: Will be discussed at interview

JOB SUMMARY:

The Food Pantry Assistant will provide support in all aspects of the pantry’s daily operations. Must work well alongside staff, volunteers, donors, community partners, and clients of diverse backgrounds and experience. Ability to effectively interact with the public, maintain records, and prepare reports.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Greet and check in clients.

Keeping accurate records of the amount of food coming in and out each month.

Assist with setup and takedown on food distribution days.

Help keep the food panty clean and organized.

Practice proper food handling and food storage procedures.

REQUIREEMENTS:

Six (6) months office/clerical related experience.

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Kind, professional and responsible.

Able to move and load boxes up to 50 lbs.

Capable of performing physical labor.
