Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist with their shopping needs, including product demos and inquiries
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process transactions, returns, and exchanges with accuracy
• Handle cash, credit, and mobile payments confidently while maintaining proper cash handling procedures
• Upsell products and promote special offers to enhance customer satisfaction and store sales
• Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented
• Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
• Support inventory management through stocking, merchandising, and participating in regular stock audits
• Assist with product demos to educate customers about features and benefits of new or popular items
• Demonstrate strong communication skills to resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally
• Collaborate with team members to create a positive shopping environment in a fast-paced retail setting

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering preferred; supervisory experience is a plus
• Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math for handling transactions accurately
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in person and over the phone
• Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs
• Experience in grocery stores or similar retail environments is advantageous
• Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately for cash handling and sales processing
• Demonstrated professionalism in phone etiquette, upselling techniques, and merchandising practices
• Flexibility to work varying shifts including weekends and holidays as needed
