Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier/Customer Service Associate to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, handle transactions accurately, and assist with various store operations. This role requires strong communication skills, proficiency with POS systems, and a positive attitude to ensure a welcoming shopping experience for all customers.

Responsibilities

• Operate POS systems efficiently to process sales and returns
• Greet customers warmly and assist with their inquiries
• Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with accuracy and attention to detail
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
• Assist with product demos and upselling to enhance customer experience
• Support merchandising efforts by stocking shelves and organizing displays
• Conduct inventory counts and assist with stock replenishment as needed
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions and resolving issues promptly
• Promote store promotions, loyalty programs, and new products to customers
• Ensure phone etiquette is professional when handling inquiries over the phone

Experience

• Previous cashiering or retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery or similar retail environments
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures
• Bilingual skills are a plus to serve diverse customer needs
• Supervising experience is advantageous for leadership opportunities
• Experience in product demos, upselling, merchandising, and stocking is beneficial
• Strong communication skills, basic math skills, and retail math proficiency are essential for success in this role
