Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and motivated Sales Associate/Store Associate to join our retail team. In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing excellent customer service, assisting with product selection, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. The ideal candidate is personable, detail-oriented, and possesses strong communication skills to engage with diverse customers. Bilingual abilities are a plus to better serve our community. This position offers an opportunity to develop retail sales skills in a dynamic environment, including cashiering, merchandising, and product demonstrations.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs
• Operate POS systems efficiently for sales transactions and cash handling
• Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits
• Upsell products to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining customer satisfaction
• Maintain attractive merchandise displays through merchandising and stocking
• Manage inventory levels by restocking shelves as needed
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
• Assist with cashiering duties using retail math skills for accurate transactions
• Support supervising staff with training or mentoring new team members when required
• Ensure the store maintains a clean, organized, and welcoming environment
• Follow phone etiquette standards when communicating with customers over the phone

Requirements

• Previous retail sales experience preferred; supervisory experience is a plus
• Proficiency in POS systems, cashiering, and retail math calculations
• Strong communication skills and excellent phone etiquette
• Ability to perform basic math accurately for transactions and inventory management
• Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve a diverse customer base
• Experience with product demos, upselling, merchandising, and stocking is advantageous
• Customer service-oriented mindset with a friendly and professional demeanor
• Knowledge of grocery store operations or familiarity with grocery retail is beneficial but not mandatory
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
