Full job description

Busy GYN office seeking a professional and friendly Front Desk Receptionist to join our team at The Howard Center for Women’s Health. As the first point of contact for our office, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth operations. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a medical office, possess strong computer literacy skills, excel in multi-tasking, have a bubbly personality and is highly motivated.

Duties:
– Greet and welcome patients and visitors with a warm and friendly demeanor
– Answer multiple telephone lines
– Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar
– Check patients in and out, verify insurance information, and collect necessary paperwork
– Assist with patient registration and update patient records in the computer system
– Sending and receiving medical records
– Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently
– Manage office supplies inventory and place orders as needed
– Maintain a clean and organized reception area

-Travel to cover our outlying clinics when needed.

Qualifications:
– Previous experience working in a medical office is preferred, but not required
– Proficient in using phone systems, computerized scheduling software, and other office equipment
– Strong typing skills with excellent accuracy
– Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations professionally
– Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities
– Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
– Ability to work well in a team environment

Experience:

  • Front Desk: 1 year (Preferred)
