Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Sandwich Artist/Cashier to join our team. This role is vital in providing exceptional customer service, preparing fresh sandwiches, and managing transactions in a quick-service restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, strong communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Previous experience in food preparation, cashiering, or the food industry is preferred but not required. This position offers an opportunity to develop culinary and customer service skills while contributing to a welcoming dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sandwiches and other menu items according to company standards, ensuring quality and presentation.
• Operate Clover POS system for order processing and payment handling.
• Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and upsell menu items to enhance sales.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the food preparation area, dining space, and equipment in compliance with food safety standards.
• Maintain Washrooms.
• Assist with food safety procedures such as proper food handling, sanitation, and bussing tables when needed.
• Manage time effectively during peak hours to ensure quick service without compromising quality.
• Support team members with various tasks including restocking supplies, cleaning, and organizing the workspace.

Skills

• Food preparation skills with knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
• Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on hospitality and communication.
• Ability to perform food handling duties efficiently in a fast-paced environment like a quick service or fast food restaurant.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and order accuracy.
• Time management skills to handle multiple orders simultaneously while maintaining quality standards.
• Previous experience in food service, restaurant operations, or retail environments is advantageous.
• Knowledge of food industry practices including serving, bussing, and kitchen experience is beneficial.
