Key Responsibilities
1. Transportation & Staff Support
- Personnel Transport: Safely transport site engineers, management staff, and authorized visitors between project sites, company offices, and other designated locations as per the daily schedule.
- Document & Light Delivery: Handle the secure and timely delivery of sensitive project documents, blueprints, and small site consumables between the site office and various stakeholders.
- Route Optimization: Demonstrate thorough knowledge of UAE road networks (Dubai/Abu Dhabi) to plan the most efficient routes, ensuring punctuality for meetings and site visits.
2. Vehicle Maintenance & Compliance
- Daily Inspections: Conduct routine checks of the vehicle’s condition, including tire pressure, oil levels, coolant, brakes, and lights, ensuring the vehicle is always in a roadworthy state.
- Cleanliness: Maintain the interior and exterior cleanliness of the assigned vehicle to a high standard, reflecting the professional image of the company.
- Compliance: Adhere strictly to all UAE traffic laws, speed limits, and RTA/Police regulations. Ensure the vehicle’s registration, insurance, and service records are up to date.
- Incident Reporting: Immediately report any accidents, fines, or mechanical issues to the Logistics Supervisor or Fleet Manager.
3. Site Safety & Logistics
- Site Rules: Follow all site-specific safety protocols and speed limits when driving within active construction zones and mobilization areas.
- Logistics Assistance: Assist with minor administrative tasks or site logistics support as required by the site management team during downtime.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- License (Mandatory): Must possess a Valid UAE Light Vehicle Driving License (Manual/Automatic).
- Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years of professional driving experience in the UAE. Previous experience working for a construction firm or a Tier-1 contractor is highly preferred.
- Local Knowledge: Excellent knowledge of major roads, landmarks, and industrial zones in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Familiarity with the latest RTA regulations and Salik/Darbi systems.
- Language Skills: Basic proficiency in English (speaking and reading) is essential to understand site instructions and navigation. Knowledge of Arabic or Hindi/Urdu is an advantage.
- Soft Skills: Punctual, disciplined, and possessing a professional demeanor with a strong commitment to road safety.
