Role Overview
The Section Head (Supervisor) is responsible for leading a designated service area -Bar -during service periods. This role ensures smooth section flow, high service standards, and strong guest engagement while acting as the first line of leadership for the service team.
The Section Head plays a critical role in floor execution, team coordination, and service consistency.
Key Responsibilities
Section Leadership
- Take ownership of a designated section during service
- Coordinate table or bar flow, pacing, and staff deployment
- Act as the primary escalation point within the section
Service Standards & Guest Experience
- Ensure service quality, presentation, and timing meet standards
- Engage with guests and support issue resolution proactively
- Support upselling and guest recommendations
Team Supervision
- Supervise waiters, runners, bartenders, or baristas within the section
- Provide real-time coaching and direction during service
- Support onboarding and training of junior staff
Operational Discipline
- Ensure SOPs, hygiene, and safety standards are followed
- Support opening, closing, and shift handovers
- Report operational issues to management promptly
