Full job description
Gym receptionists act as the first point of contact, responsible for greeting members, checking them in, and providing excellent customer service. Key duties include managing memberships, handling payments, answering phones, booking classes/training sessions, and maintaining a clean, organized front desk area. Key Responsibilities Include:
- Customer Service & Greeting: Welcoming members, answering inquiries, and resolving issues professionally.
- Member Management & Check-in: Monitoring access, registering new members, and processing cancellations or renewals.
- Scheduling & Bookings: Scheduling personal training sessions, studio classes, and managing instructor availability.
- Administrative Tasks: Handling phone calls, emails, processing payments, and updating member records.
- Facility Upkeep: Ensuring the reception area is clean, tidy, and well-stocked.
- Sales Support: Promoting membership packages, conducting facility tours for prospective members, and upselling services.
- Safety & Security: Ensuring members follow gym policies, maintaining a safe environment, and potentially performing basic first aid.
Required Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in computer software and POS systems.
- Ability to multitask and handle high-stress situations.
