Based at the Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai within the Events department in Dubai, the Sales Executive is responsible for achieving revenue targets and ensuring the successful sales, planning, execution, and seamless coordination of events and group bookings, while consistently delivering high service standards and identifying upselling opportunities. Events Sales Executive reports to the Events Sales Manager.

As an Events Sales Executive, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Manages the end-to-end sales and execution process for meetings, events, and group bookings, ensuring alignment with MOHG standards and delivering high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Acts as the main liaison between the customer and hotel operations throughout all event phases, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring consistent communication.
  • Leads site inspections, pre- and post-event meetings, and attends client events to strengthen partnerships and ensure seamless execution.
  • Actively upsells during pre-event and event stages, adheres to selling strategies, and supports hotel revenue goals through effective space and room block management.
  • Conducts sales activities including face-to-face calls, entertainment, and account management while analyzing competition and market trends to inform strategies.
  • Collaborates with internal departments, maintains accurate records and databases, resolves guest issues, and participates in team meetings and sales initiatives to achieve performance targets.

As an Events Sales Executive, we expect from you:

  • Degree or Higher National Diploma in Hospitality, Hotel, or Business Management preferred, with at least 3 years of experience in hotel or administrative sales roles.
  • Proven ability to understand guest needs, deliver superior service independently, and work effectively under pressure.
  • Strong communication, presentation, planning, and organizational skills, with flexibility to handle various work situations.
  • Previous experience in Conference and Events or Sales within luxury hotel environments, with computer proficiency including Delphi preferred.
  • Hotel pre-opening experience is desirable, along with effective verbal and written English communication skills, and preferably Arabic.
  • Friendly personality, excellent interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and problem-solving abilities.
