Key Responsibilities

  • Transaction Management: Process cash, credit card, and digital payments (including VAT-compliant invoicing) using the POS system.
  • Order Coordination: Handle bespoke orders, deposits for furniture, and lead-time communications for out-of-stock items.
  • Customer Experience: Greet guests upon entry and assist with general inquiries regarding showroom layout or product availability.
  • Tax-Free Management: Process Tax-Free shopping requests for tourists via the Planet system (common in Dubai).
  • End-of-Day Reporting: Reconcile daily sales, manage petty cash, and prepare accurate reports for the finance team.
  • Cross-Selling: Subtly suggest complementary items (e.g., home scents, cushions, or care kits) during the checkout process.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 2–5 years in a retail cashier, preferably within furniture, home decor, or luxury retail in the UAE.
  • Technical Savvy: Proficiency with POS software and basic Microsoft Excel.
  • Communication: Fluent in English (Arabic is a significant plus given the Dubai market).
  • Professionalism: Polished appearance and a “customer-first” attitude suitable for a high-end showroom environment.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with Dubai’s VAT regulations and payment processing standards.
