What You’ll Do:
- Greet and welcome guests warmly upon arrival.
- Ensure guests are seated promptly and comfortably.
- Handle reservations, waitlists, and seating arrangements efficiently.
- Resolve guest complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Maintain a positive and polished first impression of the restaurant or venue.
- Supervise and coordinate the host/hostess team.
- Train new hosts/hostesses on greeting standards, reservation systems, and guest service.
- Assign and monitor tasks to ensure front-of-house operations run smoothly.
- Communicate effectively with servers, bartenders, and management to manage flow.
- Manage booking systems (e.g., OpenTable, Resy, SevenRooms) and walk-ins.
- Keep an accurate floor plan and track table turnover.
- Balance seating to optimize server workload and ensure timely service.
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Excellent communication skills in English (fluency is a must).
- Proficiency in Russian or any European language is a strong advantage.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a warm, approachable personality.
- Professional appearance and presentation.
- Familiarity with MS Excel and Word.
- Ability to upsell and confidently explain menu items.
- A proactive team player with strong time management and leadership potential.
