Security Officer

Job Description:

The Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of guests, employees, and hotel property. The role involves monitoring the premises, responding to incidents, conducting regular patrols, and upholding the hotel’s safety standards.

  • Patrol hotel premises regularly (interior and exterior) to maintain order and establish presence.
  • Monitor surveillance cameras and security systems to detect and prevent suspicious or unlawful activities.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies such as fire, theft, accident, or medical situations.
  • Assist guests and staff in emergency evacuations and ensure procedures are followed correctly.
  • Check and control access to restricted areas.
  • Prepare incident reports and maintain accurate records of all security-related activities.
  • Enforce hotel policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment.
  • Handle lost and found items as per the hotel’s protocol.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when needed.
  • Escort VIPs, staff, and guests when requested.
  • Conduct bag checks or random inspections as per hotel policy.

Desired Skill & Expertise:

  • Prior experience in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Basic first aid and fire safety training is an advantage.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to stay calm and handle pressure or stressful situations.
  • Physically fit and able to stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.
