Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect all incoming materials and reconcile with purchase orders.
- Organize and store materials in a systematic manner for easy access and retrieval.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure all data is updated regularly.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to detect any discrepancies and report findings.
- Liaise with suppliers to schedule deliveries and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
- Ensure that the storage facility is clean, secure, and compliant with safety regulations.
- Coordinate with other departments to fulfill their inventory needs efficiently.
- Monitor stock levels and place orders to replenish stock as required to avoid shortages.
- Prepare and maintain detailed reports on stock and sales for management review.
- Dispose of any obsolete stock following company and environmental guidelines.
- Train and supervise junior staff or assistants in stock management practices.
- Implement and improve processes to enhance efficacy in storage and distribution.
Requirements
- Candidate should have knowledge of heavy equipment spare parts.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications are a plus.
- Prior experience in inventory management or related field preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations accurately and swiftly.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration.
- Physical capability to lift and move heavy items as necessary in the role.
