We are seeking an enthusiastic and professional waiter/waitress to join our food and beverage team. The successful candidate will deliver outstanding guest service, take and serve orders accurately, support front-of-house operations and contribute to a welcoming dining experience in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests with a friendly, professional demeanour and present menus.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately, relay orders to the kitchen and bar, and ensure timely service.
- Serve food and beverages according to venue standards, including clearing and resetting tables between covers.
- Provide information on menu items, specials, dietary options and allergens; refer complex queries to senior staff when necessary.
- Process guest bills and payments accurately using the venue POS system and handle cash securely.
- Maintain a clean, organised service area and uphold hygiene, health and safety standards at all times.
- Assist with side duties such as polishing cutlery, folding napkins, restocking service stations and preparing covers.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across front-of-house and kitchen teams to ensure seamless service.
- Respond promptly and courteously to guest enquiries, requests and complaints to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
Person Specification – Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel or hospitality setting preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills; calm and professional under pressure.
- Good verbal communication skills in English; additional languages are an advantage.
- Organised, punctual and able to multitask during busy service periods.
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic IT skills desirable.
- Knowledge of food allergens, special dietary requirements and front-of-house procedures.
- Right to work in the UK and flexibility to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays as required.
Qualifications and Training
- Hospitality-related qualifications or customer service training advantageous but not essential.
- Food hygiene certification (Level 2 or equivalent) is desirable.
- Full on-the-job training will be provided on venue procedures, service standards and reservation/POS systems.
