Job Summary
We are looking for a fast, proactive, and reliable Commis to join our bulk production team. This role is best suited for candidates from a catering or large-scale food production background who are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and meeting daily production targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily vegetable cutting according to required specifications and portion sizes
- Assist with bulk meal preparation, portioning, and plating
- Accurately bag and label meals as per production plans
- Follow SOPs to ensure consistency, quality, and food safety
- Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
- Clean and sanitize workstations, tools, and equipment
- Assist with receiving, organizing, and storing raw materials when required
- Coordinate with chefs and supervisors to meet production deadlines
- Report any quality or hygiene issues immediately
- Support additional production tasks as assigned
Requirements
- Catering or bulk production kitchen experience preferred
- Previous experience in a production kitchen or food service environment
- Strong knife skills and ability to work in high-volume production
- Quick, proactive, and able to work efficiently under pressure
- Ability to follow instructions, portioning guidelines, and SOPs accurately
- Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices
- Physically fit and able to stand for long hours
- Punctual, disciplined, and dependable
