Full job description
The Transport Coordinator oversees all transport personnel (drivers, helpers, loaders) to ensure smooth, safe, and timely execution of all transport operations for the company’s projects. The role focuses solely on managing staff, schedules, and performance—not materials or inventory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Staff Scheduling & Deployment
- Assign drivers and helpers to project trips.
- Plan daily, weekly, and project-specific transport schedules.
- Ensure enough staff coverage for all site movements.
- Monitoring & Supervision
- Track attendance and punctuality of transport staff.
- Ensure staff follow company protocols, safety rules, and driving regulations.
- Handle any performance or behavioral issues.
- Training & Compliance
- Organize training for drivers on safe driving, site rules, and company procedures.
- Ensure all staff have required licenses, certifications, and safety gear.
- Communication & Coordination
- Serve as point of contact between transport staff, project managers, and site supervisors.
- Communicate changes in schedule, emergency instructions, or operational requirements.
- Reporting
- Maintain logs of staff assignments, trips, and incidents.
- Report staff performance, attendance, or issues to management.
Skills & Requirements:
