The Barista/Cashier is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee and beverages, providing excellent customer service, and handling cash transactions accurately. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers warmly and take orders accurately.
- Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and other beverages according to company standards.
- Operate espresso machines and other equipment safely and efficiently.
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and maintain accurate cash drawer balances.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, including workstations and seating areas.
- Restock supplies and monitor inventory levels.
- Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
- Provide recommendations and upsell menu items when appropriate.
- Resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a barista or in a customer service role preferred.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
