Job Summary

The Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and overall appearance of guest rooms, public areas, and workspaces. The role ensures a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for guests, residents, or staff while following organizational standards and safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean and maintain guest rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and common areas
  • Make beds, change linens, and replace towels
  • Dust, vacuum, mop floors, and sanitize surfaces
  • Replenish room supplies such as toiletries, tissues, and beverages
  • Empty trash and dispose of waste properly
  • Report maintenance issues or damaged items to supervisors
  • Follow health, safety, and hygiene standards
  • Handle cleaning chemicals safely and correctly
  • Respect guest privacy and confidentiality
  • Assist with laundry duties when required

Qualifications & Skills

  • Previous housekeeping experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good time management and attention to detail
  • Physically fit to stand, bend, lift, and walk for extended periods
  • Basic communication skills
  • Knowledge of cleaning equipment and products is an advantage

Working Conditions

  • May involve shift work, weekends, and holidays
  • Standing for long periods and performing repetitive tasks
  • Exposure to cleaning chemicals
