Telephone Operator

Position Summary:
The Telephone Operator is responsible for handling all internal and external calls in a courteous and efficient manner, ensuring accurate communication and excellent guest service. Fluency in Russian is required to support Russian-speaking guests and provide clear communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer, screen, and route incoming calls promptly and professionally
  • Handle guest inquiries and requests via telephone
  • Provide hotel information, services, and facilities to callers
  • Take and relay accurate messages to relevant departments or individuals
  • Assist with wake-up call requests and reminders
  • Maintain updated internal directory of departments and extensions
  • Record and log all calls as required by hotel procedures
  • Handle emergency calls and follow safety and security procedures
  • Support Front Office and Guest Relations with guest communication needs
  • Uphold confidentiality and privacy of guest information at all times

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a telephone operator, receptionist, or in customer service preferred
  • Fluency in Russian is required; English proficiency is essential
  • Excellent telephone etiquette and communication skills
  • Strong listening and problem-solving abilities
  • Basic computer skills and experience with PBX/telephone systems preferred
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure
  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
