Duties & Responsibilities – Kitchen Steward

  • Clean and sanitize all kitchen utensils, dishes, glassware, pots, pans, and equipment
  • Operate dishwashing machines and ensure proper use of detergents and chemicals
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including floors, walls, sinks, drains, and garbage areas
  • Collect, segregate, and dispose of waste according to hygiene and safety standards
  • Assist in keeping kitchen workstations organized and clutter-free
  • Support chefs and kitchen staff with basic tasks when required
  • Ensure proper storage of cleaned equipment and utensils
  • Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times
  • Report damaged or missing equipment to the supervisor
  • Comply with health, safety, and company policies
  • Assist during kitchen opening and closing procedures
  • Help with receiving and storing kitchen supplies when needed

Skills & Qualities Required

  • Basic knowledge of hygiene and food safety
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player with a positive attitude
  • Physically fit and able to stand for long periods
  • Attention to cleanliness and detail
