Job Description:

The Head Waiter / Head Waitress is responsible for overseeing daily restaurant service operations and ensuring exceptional guest experiences. This role leads and supports service staff, maintains service standards, and acts as a key point of contact between guests, kitchen, and management to ensure smooth, efficient, and high-quality food and beverage service.


  • Supervise and coordinate front-of-house service during shifts
  • Ensure service standards, presentation, and guest service procedures are consistently followed
  • Welcome and engage with guests, addressing requests, concerns, or special needs promptly
  • Assist with table assignments, reservations, and floor management
  • Train, coach, and support wait staff to maintain high performance and service quality
  • Coordinate with kitchen and bar teams to ensure timely and accurate service
  • Monitor service flow and resolve operational issues during service periods
  • Assist with opening and closing duties, including setup and breakdown
  • Support inventory control, stock levels, and service equipment readiness
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards
  • Handle guest feedback professionally and report issues to management

Desired Skill & Expertise:

  • Proven experience as a waiter/waitress, preferably in a hotel
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of food, beverages, and service etiquette
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead a team and work effectively under pressure
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with POS systems and basic administrative tasks
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
