Job Title: Document Controller – ConstructionJob Summary

The Document Controller is responsible for managing, organizing, and maintaining all project documents in both electronic and hard copy formats. The role ensures accurate document control, timely distribution, and compliance with company and project requirements throughout the construction lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and manage all incoming and outgoing project documents
  • Register, track, and control drawings, RFIs, submittals, method statements, and technical documents
  • Ensure proper document numbering, version control, and revision tracking
  • Distribute documents to internal teams, consultants, and subcontractors as per project procedures
  • Maintain up-to-date document registers and logs
  • Ensure compliance with ISO standards and project document control procedures
  • Archive completed project documents for future reference
  • Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and site teams for document flow
  • Prepare reports on document status, pending approvals, and submissions
  • Ensure confidentiality and secure handling of project information

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a Document Controller in construction projects
  • Strong knowledge of construction documentation and workflows
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Experience with document management systems (Aconex, Procore, SharePoint, etc.) is an advantage
  • Good typing speed and attention to detail
