The Recreation Attendant is responsible for ensuring guests enjoy a safe, clean, and pleasant recreational experience. This role involves assisting guests, monitoring recreational areas, maintaining equipment, and supporting activities and events in accordance with company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests courteously and assist them with recreational facilities and activities
- Monitor swimming pools, gyms, kids’ play areas, or recreation zones to ensure safety and proper usage
- Set up, maintain, and clean recreational equipment and facilities
- Enforce safety rules and regulations at all times
- Assist in organizing and conducting recreational programs and activities
- Provide towels, equipment, and general guest support as required
- Report accidents, hazards, or maintenance issues immediately
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in all recreation areas
- Coordinate with lifeguards, fitness trainers, or activity coordinators
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve minor complaints professionally
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in hospitality or recreation is an advantage
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Physically fit and able to stand for long hours
- Knowledge of safety and hygiene standards
- Team player with a positive and friendly attitude
Preferred Certifications (Optional)
- First Aid & CPR
- Lifeguard certification (if pool-related role)
Work Environment
- Indoor and outdoor recreational areas
- Shift-based work including weekends and holidays
