Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Accountant with strong exposure to the building materials, construction supply, or related trading industry. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience using Zoho Books, managing inventory-heavy accounting operations, and ensuring compliance with UAE tax regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations using Zoho Books
- Handle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including invoicing and collections
- Monitor and manage cash flow, bank reconciliations, and payment planning
- Maintain accurate inventory accounting, stock valuation, and reconciliation
- Prepare and file UAE VAT returns in line with statutory requirements
- Support Corporate Tax compliance, calculations, and documentation
- Ensure accurate bookkeeping, journal entries, and month-end closing
- Coordinate with auditors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Proven experience as an Accountant in building materials, construction supply, hardware, cement, steel, tiles, sanitary ware, or similar trading industries
- Strong hands-on experience with Zoho Books
- Solid knowledge of inventory management and cost tracking
- Practical experience in UAE VAT filing and compliance
- Understanding of Corporate Tax regulations
- Ability to work independently in a high-volume, fast-paced trading environment
- Candidates must be currently based in the UAE with valid work authorization
