Job Summary:
We are seeking a Public Area Attendant to join our hospitality team. This position is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in public spaces such as lobbies, hallways, elevators, and other common areas. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent time-management skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Job Description:
- Clean public areas, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing surfaces.
- Ensure that trash cans are emptied and waste is disposed of properly.
- Restock supplies in public areas such as restrooms, including towels, toilet paper, soap, and other toiletries.
- Report any maintenance issues encountered while cleaning public areas, such as broken fixtures, burned-out light bulbs, or damaged furniture.
- Interact with guests and visitors in public areas, providing directions, answering questions, and assisting with any needs or requests they may have.
- Maintain a safe and secure environment in public areas, which may include monitoring for potential hazards, reporting suspicious behavior, and following established security protocols.
- Work as part of a larger team of housekeeping and maintenance staff, collaborating to ensure that all areas of the property are well-maintained and clean.
Desired Skill & Expertise:
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods of time.
