We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Document Controller to manage and maintain project documentation for our construction projects. The role ensures proper control, distribution, and tracking of all project-related documents to support smooth operations and compliance with client and company requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, review, register, and distribute incoming and outgoing project documents, drawings, and correspondence
- Maintain proper filing, indexing, and storage of all project documentation in both electronic and physical formats
- Ensure all documents are up-to-date, accurate, and accessible to relevant stakeholders
- Coordinate with project teams, consultants, subcontractors, and clients regarding document submissions and approvals
- Track, monitor, and follow up on pending approvals, transmittals, and revisions
- Maintain logs for drawings, submittals, Requests for Information (RFIs), Material Submittals, and correspondence
- Prepare and submit weekly, monthly, and ad hoc document control reports for management
- Support audits, inspections, and project handovers by ensuring complete and accurate documentation
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, client standards, and regulatory requirements
- Assist in preparing documentation for permits, approvals, and certifications required for construction work
- Support QA/QC and project teams by providing required documents for inspections, testing, and quality verification
- Facilitate coordination between engineering, procurement, and site teams to ensure smooth flow of project documents
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of all project records
Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 2–4 years UAE experience as a Document Controller in construction projects
- Strong knowledge of project documentation, filing, and control procedures in construction
- Proficiency in MS Office, project management tools, and document control software
- Excellent organizational, communication, and coordination skills
- Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
