Job Responsibilities
- Handle insurance approvals, pre-authorizations, and claims submission
- Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility prior to consultations and procedures.
- Ensure accurate coding and billing as per DHA and insurance company requirements.
- Liaise with doctors, patients, and insurance providers for smooth claim processing.
- Follow up on pending claims, re-submissions, and reconciliation of rejections.
- Maintain updated knowledge of insurance policies, guidelines, and DHA regulations.
- Prepare and submit periodic reports on approvals, rejections, and collections.
- Provide support to front office and finance teams regarding insurance-related queries.
Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years of UAE experience as an Insurance Coordinator in a medical clinic or hospital.
- Strong knowledge of UAE medical insurance processes, DHA requirements, and claim submission systems.
- Proficiency in medical coding (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; certification in medical coding/insurance is an advantage.
