Position Summary:
The Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and presentation of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas in accordance with hotel standards. The role ensures a welcoming and comfortable environment for all guests while supporting smooth housekeeping operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean, tidy, and set up guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and assigned areas as per hotel standards.
- Replenish guest supplies (linen, amenities, and toiletries) on a daily basis.
- Handle laundry and linen according to procedures.
- Ensure proper usage, safety, and maintenance of housekeeping equipment and materials.
- Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards immediately to the supervisor.
- Follow all health, hygiene, and safety regulations.
- Respond promptly to guest requests and deliver excellent customer service.
- Handle lost & found items according to hotel policy.
- Maintain a high level of personal grooming, hygiene, and appearance.
- Support colleagues and contribute to a team-oriented environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel/resort is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
- Good physical stamina and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively.
- Positive attitude, teamwork spirit, and guest service focus.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull moderate weights (up to 20 kg).
