Job Description
- Planning support for a single large/ complex project.
- Management and coordination of a project planning team.
- Preparation of detailed delay analysis work with presentations.
- Able to communicate and defend planning to project team members and client teams.
- Provide planning support for risk management.
- Planning support for multiple small/ medium projects or a single large/complex project.
Skills and competencies:
- Broad construction experience across various sectors and/ or very good understanding of specific work types.
- Able to develop a WBS for a medium/ large project.
- Proven success in Extension of Time claims work using at least 1 recognised delay analysis technique.
- Awareness of Lean Planning.
- Awareness of Risk Management.
- Preparation of resource & cost-loaded baseline programmes, recovery programmes, target programmes etc. for medium/ large projects.
- Manage project planning team including all 3rd party planners (JV Partners, SCs, Design Teams etc.) to meet project planning requirements.
- Demonstrate the impact of delay events and variations on the baseline programme. Provide planning input to Commercial Dept. for Extension of Time claims.
- Support the use of Last Planner system on projects.
- Perform risk analysis (Monte Carlo) using Primavera software.
- Primavera – very good skills.
- MS PowerPoint – very good.
- Primavera Risk Analysis.
- Flexibility – prepared to go on short term missions to projects, ECI & Tender support as needed.
- Attitude – willing to learn, develop new skills.
- Commitment – prepared to provide planning support as needed based on long term objectives.
Qualifications
- Degree in Civil Engineering; A Post-graduate qualification relating to planning are a plus.
- Minimum of 04 years relevant experience; 5 years minimum in a Planning Manager/ Lead Planner role.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
