Job Purpose: To support and strengthen procurement operations by ensuring timely and accurate sourcing of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods. The role requires proactive follow-ups, strong coordination skills, and a focus on performance and cost efficiency – ideally within the food, fresh produce, or retail sectors in the UAE.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Procurement Operations:

  • Process purchase requests and issue accurate purchase orders
  • Handle procurement of raw materials, consumables, and packaging.
  • Align purchases with inventory, consumption forecasts, and stock levels.
  • Ensure timely follow-up and closure of open orders and any pending issue.

2. Supplier Management:

  • Source, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers – especially from food and F&B sectors.
  • Maintain supplier records.
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery timelines.

3. Documentation & ERP:

  • Ensure accuracy of procurement data and documents in ERP.
  • Track GRNs, invoices, and delivery notes for audit and reporting.
  • Keep detailed procurement records for traceability and control.

4. Communication & Coordination:

  • Follow up regularly with suppliers to ensure on-time deliveries.
  • Work closely with the warehouse, logistics, and finance teams.
  • Escalate delays, shortages, or supplier issues to management.

5. Reporting & KPIs:

  • Share weekly procurement status updates.
  • Monitor key metrics such as lead time, delivery accuracy, and savings.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and cost optimization.

6. General Support & Flexibility:

  • Be ready to assist in urgent purchases or out-of-scope procurement needs.
  • Open to additional tasks related to company operations as needed.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 2–3 years in procurement (preferably in food, supermarket, or F&B industry in the UAE)
  • License: A Valid UAE driving license is preferred
  • Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, or related field *(preferred)*
  • Systems: Strong in Microsoft Excel and ERP software
  • Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and follow-up skills
  • Attitude: Proactive, organized, solution-driven, and able to work under pressure
