Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Sales Representative to gather and analyze market information, communicate with buyers, and support sales operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining strong relationships with buyers, providing them with market updates, and ensuring smooth transactions from order placement to payment collection.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather and analyze market trends, demand forecasts, and competitor activity to provide valuable insights to traders and management.
- Communicate with existing and potential buyers to understand their needs and provide market information reports regularly.
- Provide buyers with weekly price updates once pricing is set by traders.
- Follow up on the status of shipments and keep buyers informed of estimated arrival times, delays, and required documentation.
- Ensure timely collection of payments from buyers and follow up on any pending balances.
- Maintain accurate records of sales transactions, buyer communications, and market data.
- Work closely with logistics and finance teams to ensure seamless execution of sales and shipments.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in sales, preferably in the foodstuff commodities, logistics, or trading sector.
- Strong understanding of market research, pricing strategies, and international trade.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet sales targets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with CRM or ERP systems is an advantage.
- Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Fluency in English is required; additional languages (such as Arabic, Hindi, or French) are a plus.
