Full job description

  • Recruiting, interviewing and training staff to follow restaurant procedures
  • Natural leadership skills to help them oversee the staff successfully.
  • Maintaining safety and food quality standards
  • Keeping customers happy, getting their feedback on the experience and handling complaints
  • Organizing schedules, keeping track of employees’ hours and recording payroll data
  • Ordering food, linens, gloves and other supplies while staying within budget limitations
  • Supervising daily shift operations, including front- and back-of-house restaurant operations
  • Controlling operational costs and identifying ways to cut waste

Responsibilities

  • Manage and keep up smooth restaurant operations
  • Supervise both kitchen staff and waitstaff, providing necessary feedback
  • Write daily budget reports on both revenue and costs
  • Communicate with diners and mitigate potential conflicts
  • Organize and take stock of restaurant supplies
  • Maintain weekly and monthly payroll for staff
