Position Overview

woo-hoo! Children’s Museum is seeking a friendly and dynamic Receptionist to be the welcoming face at our recreation centre. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

  • Guest Reception: Greet and assist visitors with a warm and welcoming demeanuor, ensuring a positive first impression of the museum.
  • Information Provider: Provide accurate information about exhibits, programs, and events, both in person and over the phone.
  • Administrative Support: Manage the reception area, including answering phones, and handling inquiries efficiently.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to support museum events and activities, ensuring a seamless experience for guests.
  • Facility Management: Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the reception area and public spaces.

Requirements

  • Experience: Previous experience in a receptionist or customer service role preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in multiple languages is a strong asset.
  • Customer Service Orientation: Strong commitment to providing excellent service to children and families.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a busy environment.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with office equipment and software; experience with ticketing systems is a plus.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
